TLS - How To Discuss
TLS
TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a protocol that guarantees the confidentiality of data and the security of its transmission. Provides server authentication and encryption of communications between web applications and servers.
It is compatible and activated by all major web browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Opera.
TLS and SSL: what's the difference?
The SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol was developed in 1994 by Netscape Communications Corporation. The aim was to ensure data security. An enhanced version was released in 1995 for added security, and in 1999 TLS was introduced, a revised version of SSL that supports more encryption algorithms.
