Segmentation - How To Discuss
Segmentation
Distinguish between different groups of subscribers based on what we know (demographics: age, gender) or what we learn about them (interests, preferences).
Segmentation can be done in any form of digital marketing and is simply categorizing subscribers, leads or website visitors and then tailoring marketing accordingly.
Segmentation allows list managers to tailor their content to the specific needs of users, increasing the chances of getting exactly the content they want to see.
It generally falls into two categories, which can be used separately or together to create the most targeted campaigns:
behavioral segmentation
This is usually based on user activity on your site or purchases. For example, you can use it to target your customers who always open your emails but never click on a link, or who have an abandoned cart in their account on your website (if you have permission to send them emails (letters to send).
demographic breakdown
This is based on user data that may have been provided to you upon registration or learned from their analytics or other methods. For example, it could be related to their geographic area so you can tell them about an event or sale near them.
The process of dividing a common market for a product or service into several smaller groups that resemble each other.
Classification of current or potential customers into categories with common characteristics, such as age, gender, previous purchasing behavior. Segmentation helps target marketing messages and increase their effectiveness.
Segmentation is the division of current or potential customers into categories with common characteristics for this division. This process allows them to target a specific audience.
The process of dividing an audience of potential customers into groups based on different characteristics or criteria.
By dividing an entire region, behavior, interest base, or market into more specific and distinct subsets of potential customers/users/donors who are likely to share similar interests, demographics, behaviors, or needs, each segment can have its own marketing. the campaign strategy or plan and set of tactics or segmentation reflect the fact that not all users/customers/donors are the same and cannot be reached or targeted with the same resources or messages. Segmentation makes marketing more efficient and effective.
