What is the difference between purple, violet and indigo?

Violet = 50% blue, 50% red

Indigo = Indigo only dark blue ...

Indigo can mean two different things: (1) a pigment (ie visual) color with a wavelength of 435 nm, or (2) a pigment that is a mixture of 55% cyan pigment and 45% mangosteen pigment. Indigo blue is purple. Violet is a colorful color with a high frequency range of visible light, wavelengths of 415 nm. It can be obtained by mixing 1 part cyan and 2 parts magenta oil and it can be described as reddish blue color. Unlike indigo and violet, purple is not gray. It can be obtained by mixing 1 part pigment with 2 parts magenta. It is a mixture of equal parts of red and blue.
