How Many Carrots In A Pound
How Many Carrots In A Pound
How many pounds of carrots do you need to make a gallon of carrots? 3
I cut the carrots.
1 pound = 16 ounces equals 2 cups. One gallon contains 16 cups, equivalent to 8 pounds of carrots per gallon.
It all depends on the size of the slices. Gallons are volumes and pounds are weights. Different sized slices and different wedge positions have a big effect on the gallon size.

For those who say 16 ounces per cup and 16 ounces per pound, it just doesn't work. 16 ounces is not equal to 16 ounces of weight. This is what you learned to shout out loud in elementary school.
One gallon contains 16 cups.
Just a garden ball, I would say a medium sized carrot would make a cup.
So what are 16 carrots?
Personally, I'll take the carrots and see if the cup fits a lot.
So I'm going to multiply that by 16.
I see it helps :)
It depends on the size and volume, so there is no definitive answer unless you put it in water and measure the volume like this (mm 3 = one millimeter or centimeter in metric, not sure Is)
