Difference Between Dandelion And Wild Lettuce
Can I tell the difference between dandelion and wild lettuce? 3
Recently, I started looking for wild edible plants and I had difficulty identifying wild lettuce and dandelion. They both look alike, making it difficult to know who they are. Any difference you know will help me?
The main difference seems to be the height and size of the flowers. Wild lettuce can reach a height of 3 meters, while dandelions rarely reach a height of 6 meters.
As far as flowers are concerned, dandelion has only one stem and flower width is 1 1/2, while wild lettuce leaves are only 1/4, very small.
Like other dandelions, like non-start ...

At first glance, the flowers of many of these plants look like dandelions, but you don't have to say anything else.
In some cases, the size of the flower head is a good indication that your dandelion is not dandelion. Dandelion flowers are 1 1/2 inches wide. Yellow bearded flowers (Tragopogon duus) can grow. Wild lettuce (Lactuca caensis) is only 1/4 of the width.
Another thing to keep in mind is how many flowers are in the stem? The dandelion stem has only one flower. The stem of the yellow eagle (Hieracium pratense) has many dandelion shaped flowers. The same is true of the H. venosum.
It takes a little effort to notice some differences. For example, height. Dandelions reach a height of 1 1/2. Saudi Steel (Sonches Asper) can reach a height of 6. Wild lettuce can reach a nose height of 10! Some of these wild flowers have hairy stalks, while others are as smooth as a baby's underside. The sharp sepals follow the crocus petals and leave the crocus. And the basal leaves of the rattlesnake are covered with reddish-purple veins.

I suspect 2 things: you are talking about Taraxa officinale and Lactuca serriola (or saligna) and you are having trouble distinguishing roses. Taraxa is usually a dark green with leaves in a regular circle. The leaves of Lactuca (and Sonchus) are blue, and the leaves are straight and often stand on the ground. They are usually smaller in the lower middle part as well. See the point
Sorry, I didn't try Wild Salad so I couldn't go.
