I have a long one under the windshield that has been in place for over a year. It didn't bother me and it wasn't in my vision. . Now I'm wondering if I can get it right.

The inspections I know of on TN are emission tests and they don't care about W / s. If it wasn't a commercial vehicle that would require an annual safety check, I wouldn't worry. Since you are in hiding, the police will probably not bother you either.
