Is it automatic or is there an option somewhere?
There is an auto save function for some parts of the game. Alternatively, you can press s and go to graph space (if available). From there you can turn right and look at the wall, you will see a sign with gears / gears (go ahead and open this menu), enter the game management to save manually.

Both: Whenever you see a team on the screen (with a chicken inside) with memory, the game will be saved.
I completed it twice in 3 days, automatically saving time.
If you read s from the first game, it says it's automatic and if you see the chicken or the wheel turning, it's an economy.
