Does compulsory education make sense? 3
I have some issues with the idea of forced parenting:
(1) Education involves the mind. Forced lr is commonly called ry.
(2) He seems to ignore the obvious fact that the first and foremost teacher of children is their parents. When the state takes away the intellectual development of the parents of the children, it effectively implants their specific ideas in the minds of their children. State control over people's minds is often called fascism (which would be a very incomplete definition).
(3) Because of the benefits of education, some parents do not worry about raising their children. With that in mind, I hope that in addition to higher wages for moderately educated people, there will be a working class that can easily take over the agricultural sector, thus eliminating that working class. Which is what foreign immigrants demand.
updateBeing responsible. Sorry for the typo.
By the way, I like to scold.
Personally, I am a feudal lord, as Rabb understands below: p

pinochle ... Thanks for the clever answer. I will try to talk to you.
I think my first point still applies because parents still have a responsibility to raise their children and children have to work for it. You are right to say that many other things we need, such as paying taxes, require mental labor. But we both know from experience that an LR over 7 years old is a very different animal. The fact is that it is being applied and I am suffering the consequences of this intellectual blackmail. Parents do not always have the right to teach their children what they want (as the recent Los Angeles case with rare parents shows).
Well, I'm not saying farming is just for illiterate people. However, if a major US base is prepared to wreak havoc, it will help reduce the manpower that is pulling our neighbors south.
If there were no jobs, there would be no reason for them to come here and the Mexican government should think more seriously about solving their problems.
taajc ... Ah, but I'm not a capitalist. I am a distributor feudal lord. I believe that people can earn a living. To ensure that they have a lifetime of safe property, they must be branded for that property. In this way they can earn a living and keep what they deserve. Taxes will be used to provide them with a minimum wage and to help the community. In this way each parish will become a branch of a great house. As it stands, almost everywhere people rely on companies for salaries that do not make a living, but serve those who make a living.
Historically, the feudal state functioned even though most of its population had no formal education.
Of course this old man should be beaten until he recovers!
taajc ... Although he took a book to explain all the historical reasons why ... I do not agree with you. The industrialist inherited the anti-evangelical prejudice of the revolutionaries (which in turn he inherited from this troubled age of renaissance and reform). Our age today is no different, and much of it arises from the repetition of ancient myths that have been circulating for centuries, even the primary sources being read through these anti-aging lenses. If we shake it a little, we will see that the farmer has not only lived a very peaceful life but also a very fulfilling life. Whether a farmer, a blacksmith or a carpenter, he and his family were in a hurry to find a place to live. I don't see anything in the current economic system that makes people more kind or more loving. I don't see anything that makes a man a man.
taajc ... The waitress has an alternative to finding work in the city, although it rarely works. He managed to save his money and even bought the villa himself for many generations. This happens sometimes, especially when a man mismanages his finances and is forced to sell if he wants to support his family.
But the biggest problem is: does my ability to go to different cities and find teachers make me a better person?

Your argument is convincing and I agree with you, except for your last point.
I am a libertarian, and when I make a liberal argument, public education is certainly mentioned as a nail in the coffin of my ideology. People will not send you to school! And I answered yes? "Of course I will," he said. Well, if you want, why not someone else? Why are you so superior? Leave me alone.
In public education, I see many positive effects. But that doesn't mean I accept the media. In fact, I think the media is immoral. Public education requires enforced taxes (theft) as well as forced detention and care (as you are, and I agree). Surrey never justifies resources, so I can't support public education. It didn't matter that it was completely ignored.
I will answer your statement, then I will do it first, it all takes your mental call, like collecting taxes, spending out of pocket to get sales tax. In addition, students are entitled to the education that their parents want, as opposed to you. Second, it has been shown that parental distance (ie going to school) at this age is not harmful at all, but also promotes social education. To say that learning one's numbers and letters is fascism is an exaggeration. However, their acceptance is very low for people working in agriculture. Can you say that only illiterate people work in agriculture? This is very wrong. Basically, your third point makes you feel like a complete ethnic center. I would prefer that some people not be trained so that others can get more.
Anyway, I think compulsory education is good. If you treat everyone equally in your absence, very few people will complain of being harassed for any reason. Either way, compulsory education is a great idea, although some observers say it brings back smart people, or w / e. But yes, I don't think you can ask questions about opinion.
Good idea I myself have been emphasizing this. Education should be mandatory as it benefits the whole society to have a trained police force, but 9 out of 10 hate education and miss out on my tax opportunities. At least some parents have the option of sending their children to private schools, but all the wood in this system retains the real students. A good student will succeed in the system, not because of it. Do your best and try to see how many opportunities you have in this country. Make the best use of it.

First of all, I'm glad you corrected the necessary spelling mistakes, which gives you some credibility and avoids the obvious irony of the question you asked.
Historically, primary school children have never been taught by their parents. Before our first public schools were founded in New England in the 17th century (and long after) education was generally reserved for the wealthiest families. Private teachers will be hired or children will be sent to private schools. This fact literally forced small jobs into busy lives.
In our modern, service-oriented industrial civilization, it is essential that everyone receive at least a basic education, otherwise the economy will stagnate. There are very few jobs that do not require training ... very few.
Employers need trained workers to take advantage of this. Public education allows it when it works (which it usually does).
As far as the control of the fascist mind is concerned, which makes you look scared, I think knowledge is really power. Once students realize that their natural rights to life, liberty, property and happiness are protected by our constitution and government, the chances of a truly fascist state diminish. When we know that the First Amendment protects our freedom of expression, we can protect ourselves from anything that would deprive us of our rights.
What I'm afraid of is not the mood control that schools allow, but the sheer ignorance that can lead to a lack of public education.
Edit: Well, reinventing feudalism is literally a big step backwards. This is not a good past. It was a scary and depressing period of life, with the lowest standard of living for most people. In addition, there is not enough arable land to support 300 million people on the small property run by their masters.
It will not work. It should not be taken lightly.
Amendment No. 2:
The biggest problem is individual freedom. The servant who works for his master has no choice. He is basically one. You could say that I am too, because I work at the request of my employer, but that is not true. I can decide to change my job, move to another city or state at any time ... except for free will, I can put it into practice. The blood and sweat of our forefathers was shed to buy this freedom, to humiliate people like you and to fear the past. Let's face it - feudalism is in our past, not in our time, and for good reason.
Before compulsory education, many parents wanted their children to go to school, but they did not have the money to do so. Most of them are illiterate and cannot read to their children.
In 1900, there was a problem of child labor in factories. Long journeys, hard work, difficult and sometimes terrible situations. If parents want their children to go to school, they may be disappointed if their children drop out.
Recently, while working in a government school, I have seen cases of parents pretending to be mine, raising their children even though they barely feed them. How lucky is the child in this world who has such parents and no education.
I think it can be improved. I feel compelled to stay in school until I have completed all the higher level courses with a grade of C or better. So they must go to a vocational school, vocational school or college for 2 years. Or they may be asked to serve their country for two years in the army, peace corps or something like that.
It is unfortunate that we have created generations of dropouts or underperformers who can read or write well. They cannot find suitable employment, cannot support themselves, and see themselves as unemployed taxpayers.
Education is power. Knowledge is power. An educated citizen is the best way to maintain and develop one's position on the world stage. If you look at it now, our education system is in dire straits and we are losing our place as leaders in math, science and science because we are raising so many students.
His argument seems to be based on the erroneous assumption that attendance in public schools is required by compulsory education laws. This is not a problem. Some parents still control their education, they raise me. Others chose to send their children to private schools.
I think you are a student and you do not like school. One day, you will appreciate all the free education you get, especially when you have to pay for your college education and see how expensive it is. We live in a complex world and you can't find a job other than cleaning up untrained employees.

Yes sir
1) Wrong
2) You are right, you are wrong.
3) Do you think this will stop the arrival? As long as our per capita ratio is very high, the demand to become a citizen of this country will remain.
