Broadway Artists Alliance - How To Discuss

Broadway Artists Alliance

Alliance for Broadway artists? 3

Hi ... I am a 13 year old girl (I will be 14 years old at the time of the SS show) and I have only a few questions about the Broadway Artist Alliance Summer Intensive Course.

1. Do we understand what it is?

2. If you don't live in New York, do they take you to the studio and phone?

3. Are most calls fixed on a registered phone?

4. How are the first and second sessions different?

5. Should we accept one specialty over another?

6. If you live on your registered phone without a roommate or parent, what do you do with food?

And any other information you have would be great!

Thank you very much ... :)

Alas! I've been doing this for three years, including winter and summer, and I must say it's the best and bestTM exercise ever! If you are really serious about musical theater and want an in-depth (and rewarding) experience with the many Broadway stars of New York, this is definitely for you! I will try to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge and belief.

1) It seems quite competitive. All companies are super talented. In my new year, I only attended one session, which was not the first time, but I'm glad I went anyway! Later this year, I attended all the meetings I wanted and with whom I wanted! Last summer I did all three sessions in a row and still didn't have much time! I also know that I have improved a lot in my first year, especially in my auditions.

I think it was the first year I heard him say that he auditioned for the summer of the year 2000! 100 per session accepted. (So this will help you determine the difficulties.) Then your individual key teacher will be divided into small groups of at least 14 people based on their age and level. You can also get options in acting, dancing and singing, so you don't just take courses in your field of study. Okay, but if your audition is nervous, don't do it, because it's a lot of fun! If you've created a 1632-bar song or echolog and can create and repeat a title, you're ready to go!

2) Yes, they have chips on their phones. Andi Pkins (our friend) is fun and talented!

3) I think half the people live on the phone. Recommended Nice to meet you there and very close to the studio. But some live with me and go to work or live with their family in New York or something else.

4) The main difference between sessions 1 and 2 is the final step. Session 1 has a small showcase for the NYC industry in the studio. This is great because you get personal feedback directly from these casting professionals. Session 2 really wasn't, because instead of a studio, there was a live on Broadway that family and friends (as well as industry) could attend. There are other serial numbers and the like. And it's an exciting New York theater, like the New World Stages. I thought the BAA office could tell you more about the difference, but I felt it! I enjoyed both sessions in different ways ... can you both? MDR!

5) Well, I think Lead Voice was the hardest part because most people auditioned for it. And let me just say that BAA Vice Major is the best! I learned that I could sing until I went to camp, so I listened to all these great songs and thought I would do better! But I did! And I'm feeling much better. Encourages, not scares. And also a kind of reality check with a lot of talented people (like us) who will be auditioning for college and others at the same time! Now I feel so much more ready for everything! I would recommend auditioning for both features, if you can, to increase your chances. If you are the lead actor, you can still sing and take singing lessons. If you are a dance student you can still act if you want, etc.

6) Great free breakfast every day if you are living in Tail Tail! (Waffles, pancakes, eggs ... cereals or oatmeal, etc.). Then lunch at BAA. Some HTs, such as Bway swht BAA, also offer free dinners. We also ate at Pizza Night HT. But most of the time, after a hard day, you sit in your chair for dinner. They will provide you with a list of nearby delivery locations and suggested supermarkets or restaurants. This is New York, lots of places to eat! You get really busy during an intense period, you don't have much time to eat, hahaha! But there is always someone around to help you soing or hanging out with a friend. At least that's what I've experienced!

Well, what more can I say? (Enough is enough!)

If you have further questions please email me directly. You can also contact Super BAA if the problem is more technical.
